Summary
This article will walk you through how to fill out onboarding paperwork you have been sent.
This article is for those who are brand new to the Onboard platform (used for signing paperwork). If you are a new employee or contractor and have been sent documents to sign, this article is for you.
Walk-Through
1. When you are invited as a worker (employee or contractor) to fill out paperwork, you will receive an email inviting you to fill out your forms.
- Click the button or link in the email to fill out your forms.
2. You will be taken to a browser page which will require you to create a password and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
Phase 1: Filling Out Information
3. You will be taken to a page to set up your multi-factor authentication.
4. You will then be taken to a page to fill out information for your required forms in steps 1-3. You can easily walk through each of the steps shown below. At minimum, this will be your direct deposit and W-4. If an employer does not offer direct deposit or you do not want to fill it out, simply skip that section.
5. Step 4 - At this point you will be able to upload any I-9 verification documents. These are optional, and can be skipped if you do not need them or do not have a digital copy of the required documents.
6. Step 5 - At this point you will be able to upload any Bank Account Support or Other Documents you might need. These are optional, and can be skipped if you do not need them or do not have a digital copy of the required documents.
Phase 2: Signing Forms
6. After you have filled out the information you will need to sign off on forms -- including any forms your employer has for you to sign.
- Click “approve & sign” to approve the documents, as is, and to sign.
- Click “make changes” as this point if you need to go back and make changes to the forms.
Note: If you do not go through this full section and submit your forms, your forms will not be saved!
Note: It is recommended for contract workers to download their own documents to keep a copy of them outside the Onboard platform.
Under “Forms and Documents” in the upper right, click the icons to download your documents and the completed forms.
- When hovering in this section, the icons will also show you more about the documents you filled out, such as if a signature was required.
- If you don’t see these forms and/or documents, you have not completed and/or signed your paperwork!
If you need to re-visit your paperwork:
If you exit before finishing your paperwork and you need to log back in to edit your forms (or to update forms), you can navigate to the lower left of your screen and hit “Review your documents” to pick up where you left off OR to edit that paperwork. If you are updating information, you will need to re-sign all your forms and get through the section to save your changes.
