Summary
This article will show you how to do one of the core functionalities of the system: Inviting a new worker (employee or contractor) to fill out paperwork.
Walk-Through
1. Navigate to the "Invite Worker" page. You can find the button to this page on a company/end-client page or on your Dashboard.
2. Step 1 - Fill out the worker's information.
3. Select a Role for the worker. Most likely you will be adding an Employee or a Contractor.
Employee: They will, by default, be sent the W-4 Form, Direct Deposit Form and I-9 Form (and they can skip the direct deposit, if needed).
Contractor: They will, by default, be sent the W-9 Form and Direct Deposit Form (which they can skip if needed).
End Client Admin: You can see how and why to add them with this article.
Bureau Admin: You can see how and why to add them with this article.
NOTE: No matter what kind of user you add, you can decline to send them the default forms and add additional forms for them to fill out and sign.
BUREAU ADMINS: If you are a bureau admin (working for a bureau) and the new worker you are adding is for a client company, you will want to assign the new worker to the appropriate End Client. You should only leave the End Client as "No end client" if the worker you are adding is for your own bureau organization.
4. Step 2 - You may, optionally, write a custom welcome email message for the new worker and include an Offer Letter. See more on how to do this in the Customize Your Welcome Email article and the How to Create an Offer Letter article.
5. Step 3 - You can customize the forms and documents you send out to this worker, by de-selecting or selecting the appropriate documents. All checked documents and forms will be sent out to the new worker to view, fill-out, and/or sign.
Note: You can edit the default order that the documents appear in this list. See how to do that in this Re-Order Document List article.
6. Step 4 - Review and Invite.
6. The employee you've added to the platform will now receive an email inviting them to sign up. If they don't see it in their email, double check you typed their email in correctly or ask them to check their SPAM.
Note: You can also re-send them an invite email if need be.
